Principle of Population" published in 1798, Thomas Robert Malthus speculated that human populations grow exponentially whereas the food production grows at an arithmetic rate. According to his theory, it is predicted that in the future there will be a time when humans would have no more resources to survive on ... Malthus lived (1766 – 1834) the global population reached its first billion (in 1804). Today we have 7.6 billion.
